Account & Data Deletion

At Cheliya, we prioritize your right to privacy and control over your personal data in full compliance with Google Play Developer Policies and global data protection standards.

Important: Account deletion is permanent. Once completed, your profile, matches, wallet balance, and conversation logs cannot be recovered.

Method 1: Direct In-App Deletion (Recommended)

You can instantly delete your account directly inside the Cheliya mobile app:

Open the Cheliya App on your smartphone.
Tap on your Profile Icon at the bottom navigation bar.
Go to Settings & Privacy.
Scroll down and tap Delete Account.
Confirm the prompt. Your account will be permanently deactivated and queued for full data wipe.

Method 2: Deletion Request via Email

If you have uninstalled the app or cannot access your device, submit a deletion request via email:

Send an email to: support@cheliya.app
Subject line: "Account Deletion Request - [Your Registered Phone Number]"
Include your registered mobile number and registered profile name.
Our support team will verify ownership and process the deletion within 48 hours.

What Data Is Deleted?

Upon verification and processing of your deletion request, the following information is permanently purged from our primary databases:

Profile photos, display name, age, gender, and bio information.
Authentication tokens and login session identifiers.
Device push notification tokens (FCM/APNs).
Contact lists and match records.

Data Retention Period

Certain non-identifying financial transaction records may be retained for up to 180 days solely for regulatory compliance, anti-fraud auditing, and tax reporting requirements as mandated by local laws, after which they are automatically expunged.
